Contemporary Wall Mirror
The use of contemporary wall mirrors for home decoration
started many years ago because people simply like to look at themselves. When you are in a party it is always
reassuring to be able to look at yourself and make sure your tie is okay or your makeup hasn’t run or any other
absurd thing we want to see in ourselves. It is a reflex action in men and women to check themselves out every time
they go by a mirror especially if it is large and they can get a complete body checkup.
So it is a good idea to have a couple large contemporary wall
mirrors located strategically in your living room and dining room. Feng Shui, an oriental and millenary science
which brings harmony and positive energy flows into your home recommends that you have a large wall mirror facing
the front door so negative energies will bounce on it back to the outside. It is also a great idea so you can take
a last look at your outfit and hair do before going out on the street. A half moon table below the mirror will add
to the complete setting and will also give you a place where you can leave your keys and other stuff when you come
into the house.
Contemporary wall mirrors are made in many different sizes and
with many different frames it is up to you to choose mirrors that will look good with the rest of the decoration of
a given room in your house. You can’t buy a mirror and then go out and buy the decorations that will complete the
room unless you do not have any decorations yet.
Mirrors provide light and a sense of enlargement to a room. For
example a large contemporary wall mirror centered in the dining room wall looks spectacular and will add
illumination to the room when the overhead light s are on and you are sitting there with your guests. Your dining
room will look larger than it is too.
If you have a stair case at home and it has a resting spot in
the middle of it, a mirror will look perfect in that spot. You will also be able to use it to see when someone is
coming up the stairs. A mirror there will add dimension to otherwise boring stairs. A couple of paintings or
pictures set at different heights on either side of the mirror will complete and complement the decoration on the
stairs.
Contemporary wall mirrors can be found in infinite sizes,
shapes and colors, when you buy one just make sure that it fits in with the rest of the room’s décor. Try to
combine decorations that are similar in material and in colors so there is flow and positive energy in the room.
Never buy decoration items just because they are on sale or because you like them. You must have a place in mind
where they will look good or you will end up with a lot of stuff in a closet somewhere.
